Company Description: Challenge Games was founded in 2006 with the mission of creating online, short-form games that are challenging, fun and easy to play whether youre a serious or casual gamer. The big idea was to create cool games that can be played in 3-10 minute time increments anytime, from anywhere especially on social platforms such as Facebook. Our latest games are "Ponzi, Inc" and "Warstorm" both available on Facebook).
Job Description: Challenge Games is looking for a producer to oversee the technical and creative development of social games, including development of core game play features and functionality. The position reports to the Vice President, Production.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manages between 5 – 10 programmers, designers and artists, some matrix managed.
• Responsible for supervising the entire development of a video game, from concept to launch.
• Schedules s of live games post launch.
• Coordinates with marketing, operations and creative services on feature development.
• Define, prioritize, and execute on game feature backlogs.
• Operates an agile/scrum planning system.
Job Qualifications:
• 2+ years of project management experience in any of the following areas: online, game/entertainment or social networks.
• Track record of developing, launching and improving games on time and within budget.
• Ability to work in a flexible startup environment with resource constraints.
• Understanding of user experience.
• Experience working in an agile/scrum development environment.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to prioritize opportunities based on financial and strategic importance.
• Knowledgeable about current internet and social network technologies and trends.
Also Helpful: Substantial interest in playing CCG games such as Magic: The Gathering, WoW: Trading Card Game, or similar games. Substantial experience playing MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft. Experience playing casual games on sites such as Pogo, Yahoo Games, or other similar sites. Substantial interest in playing online games, especially on Facebook.
