Description: A well-established, non-profit organization that serves deaf children through arts and education is seeking reliable team players with exemplary work ethic, customer service orientation and deep commitment to supporting families in need. The following opportunities are available in our Culver City headquarters. FULL-TIME BILINGUAL OFFICE ASSISTANT guru to support organizations efforts. Ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with a "no job is too big or too small" attitude. Other key qualifications include: working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. copier, office phones), and basic computer programs (email, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) maintain and enhance organization of the center, including offices, speech rooms, teacher lounge, games/materials, kitchen, science lab, and basement (sets/props/costumes) fluent Spanish to translate and act as parent liaison professional appearance, office etiquette, proactive problem-solver, and mature attitude assists with creation of marketing materials and prepping mailers for walkathon, mail campaigns, and other fundraising events must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and do repetitive office tasks (e.g. applying labels and sealing envelopes for mailings) must have a reliable car and valid CA drivers license and insurance to run errands as needed (e.g., office max) able to maintain confidentiality and be discreet with information must be available for occasional overtime including occasional weekend work bonus if you have a creative or construction background to help with our stage sets PART-TIME BILINGUAL VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (24 hours/week) needs to be a rock star as this position involves marketing to and recruiting volunteers, sustaining relationships, and organizing volunteer staff for events or other organizational needs. We rely heavily on volunteer labor so this team member is critical to our success. Key requirements for this role are: fluent Spanish to coordinate volunteers needs to excel in interpersonal relationships writing skills and willingness to develop marketing materials working knowledge of social networking and ability to leverage for volunteer efforts organized and able to build/maintain database knowledge of event planning and ability to work with little supervision to organize volunteers for events provide general assistance on fundraising efforts PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER (16 hours/week) must have excellent attention to detail, understand bookkeeping fundamentals and have experience working with nonprofit organizations.
