Mariner Finance is currently seeking a Full-Time Branch Manager Trainee.
Completion of an 18-month Branch Manager Training Program according to Mariner Finance requirements and guidelines. As an exempt employee, this training will occur not only on the job but may require additional time spent with management before and after normal branch hours.
Providing service to customers and prospective customers seeking loans. Originating, reviewing, and approving loan applications. Extending credit to individuals through a variety of loan programs.
Resolving product service and policy related problems for customers with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsible for the sale of company products and services. Placing inside sales calls in order to increase customer base. Responsible for the retention and maintenance of existing accounts.
Learning both lending and collection functions during the Branch Manager Training Program, including the job duties of Account Representatives and Customer Service Representatives.
Consistently reviewing and developing action plans for delinquent loan accounts including initiating customer contact, negotiating extensions of refinancing, and collecting payments due.
Representing the company and developing additional business through networking within the community.
Assisting Branch Manager with monitoring and approving monthly expenses, verifying expenses against corresponding entries in annual business plan, and documenting variances. May assist Manager in preparation of annual budget.
Coordinating functions and daily operational issues in the absence of the Branch Manager through communication with the Regional Manager.
Performing additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service including collecting payments, completing and processing loan applications, contacting customers for late payments, and answering phones.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics or a related field or recent (within the past 3 years) successful completion of a lending training program or other closely aligned course of study.
Internships or work experience in Consumer Lending or Financial Services is a plus, but not required.
Applicants must be able to relocate and have the availability to travel to surrounding branches when needed.
Outstanding interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent customer service and management skills.
